We built two creative careers before we built one together. I was running my own photography business; David was growing his filmmaking company from the ground up, one project at a time. When we met, it didn't take long to realize we saw the work the same way — same standards, same vision, same refusal to phone it in.
We got married, started a family, and merged our businesses — because why compete when you can create together? That's Pratt Studios today: a full-service video and photography production company based in the RDU area, built to handle it all — corporate marketing and commercials, weddings, events, and real estate.

WHO IS pratt studios?
SVETLA PRATT
I fell in love with photography as a kid, watching my dad carry his old black-and-white film camera on every vacation we took. We'd drop the film off to be developed and then put the pictures into albums. I think that's where I first understood what a photograph really is: not just a picture, but a moment somebody cared enough to save.
I've been chasing that same feeling of freezing a moment ever since. I turned it into a business in 2013 and have shot everything from weddings to real estate to corporate portraits, which means whatever room you put me in, I already know how to read it. My job is simple: make you comfortable enough in front of the lens that the photo looks like you, not a performance of you.

I'm the guy who makes sure your brand looks as good on camera as it does in your head. I started over a decade ago with a bottom-of-the-barrel camera and a stubborn need to keep improving — today that's grown into a full cinema setup with professional cameras, lighting, and audio, plus a handful of award-winning short films along the way.
I don't just show up and shoot. I direct, I problem-solve, and I obsess over the details most people never notice but every client feels. The camera work is only half of it — I'm just as hands-on in post-production, constantly refining my editing and color techniques so every project looks sharper than the last one.
